Kuantan Specialist Hospital (KSH) is a subsidiary of KPJ Healthcare Berhad (KPJHB). The hospital was incorporated as Kuantan Specialist Center Sdn. Bhd. On 20 October 1981 and started operation on 1 December 1986. It changed its name to Kuantan Specialist Hospital Sdn. Bhd in 1987. The hospital was taken over by Johor Corporation on 18 December 1990, and managed by Kumpulan Perubatan Johor Healthcare Berhad. After the corporate restructuring exercise of the company, KSH now is under KPJHB since November 2002.
KSH is located along Jalan Alor Akar, about 1 km from Kuantan town center. It is situated in Taman Kuantan, the first modern residential area in the town and only about 5 minutes drive from the famous leisure holiday area, Teluk Cempedak.
